Why Empaths & Old Souls Are Feeling Everything Right Now

Have you been feeling it lately?


Over the last week or two, there has been a distinct, unmistakable surge of intensity. For many of you, it’s showing up directly in your bodies, as high sensitivity, a heavy chest, or that familiar fluttering in your solar plexus that feels like the butterflies you got as an eight-year-old when you thought you were in trouble.


Your mind might be trying to play tricks on you right now. It might be telling you that this intensity is your own fear, or that an old, painful loop is about to repeat itself.

But I want you to take a deep breath and let the mind go. Let the ego go. Open a little mental drawer, pop them in there, and shut it.


What you are actually feeling isn’t your fear, it is the collective.

As a collective group, we have opened up. We have allowed ourselves to expand, setting out our vessels like rain catchers ready to be filled with abundance and new intentions. But when a collective group begins to vibrate at a higher frequency, we also become highly in sync with the energetic vibrations around us. You are feeling the collective wave, the shifts, the openings, and yes, the vague, pulling waves of fear from the world around you.


When I look past this intensity for you, I see a blank, dark screen. That blankness isn’t a dead end; it is a clean slate. It is a profound, deciding moment. It is the bridge demanding a choice: are you ready to step into an ascending position in your life?


Moving Beyond the Modality

For over a decade, I’ve been helping people cross these bridges, dissecting the old webs and ties that keep us stuck. And through all of it, I have come to realize something fundamental:

Energy healing is not a technique. It’s a perceptual awakening. The modality is just the vehicle. The destination is always the same.

Whether it is Reiki, Pranic healing, Quantum Touch, or Shamanic work, the form differs, but the attunement to subtle reality is universal. What we are actually developing is simply the capacity to perceive and work with what most of world has been conditioned to ignore.

Every single human being is a perceiver. It is your birthright. But you’ve been taught not to trust it.

Energy healing is not a static service you buy, and it’s not a rigid set of hand positions. Energy healing is a living entity. It is an ally, a best friend that helps us understand who we are and teaches us how to communicate with ourselves. I’m not here to be the guru or the ultimate expert delivering a product to you. I am simply the introducer. The bridge. The one who says: This has always been here, waiting for you to turn toward it.

This runs deep in my lineage. My grandmother didn’t teach me formal Reiki; she taught me that the world is alive, aware, and constantly communicating. Reiki was just the formal language I found later in life for something I already knew down to my bones.

Listen to the Outer Shell

When the wind blows, a building either sways safely or it falls apart. Your physical body is that outer shell. To endure the immense inner activity and collective shifts happening right now, you have to build strength and stability in your physical form.

Listen to your body today. Are you dehydrated? Are you breathing shallowly? Are your hands or the bottoms of your feet sweating from the sheer volume of energy moving through you?

Get grounded. Go outside, find an old tree, and let the earth reprocess the excess weight you are carrying. Light some real Palo Santo to pull your awareness down and calm your digestive system. Drink water, eat lighter foods that keep your body mobile, and remember to breathe deeply in through your nose and blow it out.

Take care of your physical vessel, because the body never lies.

A Quick Exercise: Is This Mine or Theirs?

When you feel a sudden wave of anxiety, irritation, or solar plexus tension, use this quick boundary check to differentiate your own energy from the collective:

  1. Pause and Drop Down: Close your eyes, place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly (your solar plexus). Take three slow, deep breaths.

  2. Ask the Question: Silent ask yourself: "Is this energy mine, or am I observing it?"

  3. The Bounce Test: Imagine a gentle, clear mirror reflecting outward from your body. If the feeling belongs to the collective or someone else, visualize it gently bouncing off the mirror and returning to the earth to be neutralized. If the feeling dissipates or lightens, it wasn't yours to carry.

  4. Anchor: Explicitly say to yourself, "I return all energy that is not mine, and I call my own power back to my center."
