PARENT REIKI YOGA
AT  SCHOOL

Reiki, an ancient form of Japanese energy healing, has long been known for its ability to help the body heal from trauma, stress, and anxiety, while yoga has been used for thousands of years to strengthen the body, both inside and out.

Combining these two modalities does not take anything away from either practice. If anything, when combining yoga and reiki, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts — meaning that the physical, mental, and emotional benefits that can come about as the result of a dedicated yoga practice can be amplified by combining the practice with reiki. 

There is no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can feel comfortable receiving Reiki. The only requirements to receive Reiki is to keep an open mind and to have the desire to heal your physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being. Reiki healing is given without the need to remove any clothing.

This class is open to ALL LEVELS especially to anyone new to meditation and/or Reiki! Perfect for anyone who would like to get a taste of energy healing and mindfulness in a budget-conscious way.

 

How Do You Practice Reiki Yoga?
 

I will give a brief overview of the history of reiki before students set themselves on a yoga mat. Participants will be invited to hold a sustainable pose on a yoga mat, using bolsters, blocks, and blankets to assist them. The poses suggested are the lotus, Restorative Bridge, Restorative Twist, Restorative Heart Opener or Supported Savasana.
I also play healing music like “Koyosan: Reiki Sound Healing” by Dueter and “Healing Sounds: Frequencies II” by Jonathan Goldman to help students unwind.

 

  • Dress code: Please wear loose clothes and bring a water bottle, blanket, journal and pen.  Participants will be invited to sit or lie down on a yoga mat. Note you will be asked to remove your shoes.

  • When: Every Friday  

  • Time: 09.00am-10.00am 

  • Cost: From £11 per person
